Hi Gary,
I just wanted to say I just joined your VIP Club
and I am very happy I did. I heard your radio shows for the
first time this season and was extremely impressed with your
overall knowledge of the games. After being burned by Sports
Handicapping Services many times I took a chance with you as
you seemed to be very sincere on the phone when we talked.
It actually seemed as if you were talking me "out of" joining
and never once did you rush me into signing up "right away".
Your "pay after picks win only" plan was one I felt was very fair.
After your (14-2) weekend I am surely up a ton of money thanks
to your fantastic picks. I just want you to know although I have
been on only 3 weeks now, you have shown me already your sincerity
and honest approach are very refreshing and I wish you the best
in a great rest of the Football Season.
Chet Latini
Hi Gary,
I have followed the Stardust line shows for the last 10 years or
so and marvel at how inept the handicapping has been (on a fairly
consistent basis). I enjoy your comments on the scamdicappers
in general and the joke that the "Stardust Invitational
Contest" has been.
I thought you might enjoy seeing the results thru week #6 of
the Sat. night show, which I call the "Stardust Moron Line":
Ted Sevransky 44-37-2, best bets: 6-12
Mike Campanella 40-45-2, best bets: 7-10-1
Andy Iskoe Sides: 36-49-2, best bets: 4-14
Andy Iskoe Totals: 35-52
Accumulative: 155-183-6 (45.8%), best bets 17-36-1 (32%)
Consensus Plays (all 3 agree on the game): 8-11
Notes: 3 best bets are given per week per handicapper and they
can be either side or total, Ted S. reserves the right to take
a "pass" on 1 game a week. Last week, Andy Iskoe went 3-0 on
his best bets, before that he was a stunningly bad 1-14!!!
- Bob
Hi Bob,
Since I stopped doing that show a few years ago I stopped
listening to it but I do get a ton of calls and emails from
readers about it. Just remember this, the good thing is none
of them bets more then $50 a game so they will all keep eating
this week, Mike has a day job so he is fine, and of course the
Stardust doesn't care one bit if these people win a game or not.
The more losers they give out to the people sitting in the seats
there the more the house (Sportsbook) makes as the people listening
think those guys know what they are talking about and are winning
on a regular basis. Go check Mike's website (I mean webpage)...I
mean Mike I hate to rip you but when you said.."Why am I pissed
I wasn't invited to the Contest as you weren't either?"...that got
you a lifetime of ripping as that was the most ridiculous thing
anyone ever said to me in this business...even Lupo or Bobba.
Guy's like Andy are nice guys, but they are in 100 contests and
give out picks all over the place so eventually they will win
here or there and then people like John Kelly will harp over
and over and over how they won a certain Contest making it look
like they are lifetime winners when in reality thier lifetime
records picking all sports is probably 40% overall. I mean Russ
Culver picks all the sorriest teams every week and for 9 out
of ten years he loses his ass, the tenth year all dogs come in
and he looks like a genius, wins a contest, and all you here for
the next 10 years is how great a Champion he is. Thats the business
and thats why I am so out for the Stardust and Boyd Gaming. They
only kept me out as the see me kicking thier ass in at the betting
window week after week and they don't want the entire public
betting the 7 picks I give out and kicking thier ass in too...and
they know it...they pick losing Cappers....people who don't bet
or bet $50 or less a game knowing that they can't win as if they
did win they would be betting alot bigger then $50 a game or $20
three teamers like Andy Iskoe does. But that's why they have
Colleges...to teach kids how to ADVERTISE...draw in customers..
whatever it takes...as long as you bring in the people..you did
your job...Joe Lupo did it so good they shipped him to NJ..Atlantic
City, NJ...now folks I am from NJ...nobody unless they are insane
would move from sunny Las Vegas to the ghetto area of Atlantic City
unless they knew they conned a lot of people and were feeling the
"HEAT" and know it was time to get out of town and hope people
just forget all about him. MEMO TO JOE LUPO: I WILL MAKE SURE
NOBODY EVER FORGETS YOU AS YOU ARE THE BIGGEST SCUMBAG TO EVER WALK
THE LAS VEGAS STRIP.
--------------------------------------------
Gary,
Your article the other day about the Stardust Contest and
Lem Banker was easily the funniest one of yours yet as we listen
to that show every week and we couldn't wait either to hear Lem
give us his picks and why he picked them. Even though he won more
then he lost and we bet against his picks it was worth every dime
to hear John Kelly talk him up as the greatest bettor Las Vegas
has ever seen. To hear him say he took A+M over Baylor because they
looked like a High School team and then on his next pick take
Colorado, who just lost to that same Baylor team, to beat a red hot
Kansas team made our whole house crack up laughing. I knew you had
to be dying as you don't miss anything they say on those Contest
weekly's. I was just wondering are you going to post your Grandma's
picks this week like you promised if Lem won? That would truly be
hilarious and I am sure all the readers of the website would get a
great kick out of that (at the Stardusters expense of course).
Best articles of all time...we miss your Friday night shows
after the Stardust Contest. Your shows were the most prepared ever
and that Radio Station is clueless to good programming. Please post
up on your site whenever you start a new show up again.
Thanks and best of luck with your picks. Your freebies have
been rock solid again this year. For us $50 bettors every extra
winner helps keep us in action a little longer.
Jerry Leifer
Hi Jerry,
Yeah I did enjoy last week's Contest and show with Lem and his
picks (well his 30 second analysis anyway) on the games for the weekend.
That is surely a tape I will save for the rest of my life and will be the
greatest addition to my BOOK I could've ever dreamed to add as a extra
chapter. That show alone TRULY describes the 9 years of the PRESTIGIOUS
STARDUST HANDICAPPERS CONTEST. Now I have to admit Jerry your email at
first caught me totally off guard and confused me somewhat as I totally
forgot I mentioned if Lem won I would add my Grandma's picks this weekend
to the homepage of the website. Well even though Lem didn't actually win,
he tied, I will honor my word. Only problem is both my grandmother's have
passed away. So, instead I will sub in my 5 year old niece Jenna. She is
the smartest little girl in her class and leading goal scorer in her soccer
league and I am sure she can come up with 6 nice selections (she surely
won't have to stay up past 8PM bedtime to study games as Lem surely didn't).
I will give her a call Friday when she gets home from school and get 6 nice
picks from her for this weekend's games and post them up as promised. Who
knows, if she does really well, maybe Bobba Scucci and the Stardust can fly
her in for next years Contest as she clearly passed the criteria for being
invited into the Contest: (1) she doesn't bet on the games, (2)she doesn't
do any research on any games before going on the show and giving the picks,
(3) her guesses can't do any worse then the 43% overall winning rate of the
carefully handpicked Handicappers selected over hours and hours of studying
by Joe Lupo for 8 years and now Bobba Scucci. I mean she has got to be a "LOCK"
as they say by 80% of the Stardust Contestants so far the past nine years
with their advertised picks. GO JENNA....GO JENNA!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Gary Greene,
I am a constant reader of your website and I love your articles.
I am not a savvy bettor and I wanted to ask if you could clarify
something you bring up many times about Handicappers CLUBS. What do you
mean by this? I am sure it may sound stupid but I have no idea what you
are pertaining to when you clarify this when you mention different
Handicappers "CLUBS" as you call them. I would really appreciate it if
you could explain this more in laymens terms for me.
Thank you very much,
Richard Marleska
Hi Richard,
Your question is actually not a stupid one at all. What I mean
mean when I mention Handicapper's "CLUBS" is the different set of PICKS
or SELECTIONS they offer (sell) to the public. They use these CLUBS as a
way to take advantage of you in different ways and to help them in their
advertising and to help them have more chances to look like a winning
Handicapper on a given day or week. I personally have one Club, everyone
gets the same set of picks, with a few rare Best Bets possible over a weekend,
regardless of how much you wager on a game. So I either live or die with those
picks and either win with them or lose with them. I don't have any second, third,
fourth or more chances to have a winning week if my one set of picks on Saturday
or one set of picks on Sunday loses. What most of the Scamdicapper Handicappers
do is have 5-8 sets of picks (CLUBS) where they give say five picks in each Club
and sell each Club for different amounts of money (usually depending on how much
you tell them you wager on a game--more you bet--more picks end up costing you).
Now this way when these guys on TV go on from one week to the next..if lets say
4 out of the 5 Clubs they have lose...but one goes 5-0....they can go on the show
and plaster on their website they went (5-0) in the (blank Club) and they aren't
really lying. They simply do not tell you the other 4 Clubs all lost because they
don't have to as only those people on board in those 4 losing Clubs are pissed off
and new clients who aren't on board yet but are thinking of joining hear them
continually week after week say "We WON AGAIN LAST WEEK" and finally figure it's
time for them to send them money and get in on this winning too. Also too they
will have "SPECIAL" -"GAME OF YEAR" picks in each of the Clubs making for lots
of extra HYPED plays they know people will be suckered into paying EXTRA $$$$$
for and that's why they have these different CLUBS. It makes for "CAN'T LOSE"
weeks (weekend's) and for more BIG GAMES they can sucker the public for extra
money. And now people like Wayne Root have taken it a step further and he gets
MONITORED in 9 or 10 CLUBS and if he can just win good in one club like he did
a few years ago when he picked one game a week (went 12-4 --75%)...then say he
finished Number 1 in the Country in CFB and he was Monitored...(saying I am
HONEST)....go check me out it's true...and if you checked it out it was true...
but what you don't see is the other 9 Clubs that had losing years as the Monitor
DOES NOT SHOW HANDICAPPERS WHO WIN UNDER 53% FOR THE SEASON AS TO NOT EXPOSE
THEM WHICH IN TURN WOULD MAKE THEM NO LONGER WANT TO BE MONITORED AND IN TURN
WOULD LOSE $500 TO A SPORT TO THE MONITOR...so you can see that CLUBS are a
very CREATIVE way of taking advantage of Bettors buying selections off a Handicapper.
As I have always said if a Handicapper sells any "HYPED" plays at all...(aka..Game
of Year, Pac-10 Game of Year, Underdog Game of Year)...or has more then one Club
(set of picks to purchase)..he is probably a SCAMDICAPPER and you might want to
run like the wind before he takes your money and you will never see it again.
Gary Greene
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Gary,
I got a flyer at one of the Sportbooks last week with your
article exposing the Stardust and I was really not shocked as I
have been here in Vegas for many years and spoken to many Sports
Ticket Writers who told me Andy Iskoe was just a $20 bettor and Mike
Lee was even barely that as he had fallen on really hard times the
past 5 years or so. I track all these local Sports shows and I have to
agree with you 100% on Larry Grossman. He has guests on his show he
claims to be so great and most are actually very bad with picks and
also not even bettors. Now he is selling tapes off his website (check
it out) where people like Andy Iskoe and Mike Lee and Donn Wagner (I
mean are you kidding me?) are going to teach us how to make money by
betting on sports? If this is true why is Mike struggling to get by?
I have to give you alot of credit, nobody since I have lived in this
town has ever challenged the BIG BOYS. You gotta plenty of grit there
young man and I wish you plenty of luck with your efforts as you seem
to be one of the very few guys in this Sports Service Business to look
out for the Bettors. It is a shame to see a Casino taking advantage of
the bettors as they have such a huge advantage to begin with on every
table game and all the slot machines. But I guess greed is what makes
them build each one more beautiful then the one before it. Keep up the
great work as your effort's are not going unnoticed. You are clearly
a Man among boys and your articles and website are excellent for any
sports bettor to read on a weekly basis. It was nice to see someone
expose Larry Grossman for a change. His false claims and picks of the
losing Handicappers has been awful over the years yet he still talks
them up like they are the greatest Handicappers in the country. So
far this year on his Friday shows the College Football Best selections
are 7-12, and the N.F.L. selections are 6-9. That's terrible for so
called Experts but clearly shows why guys like Mike Lee are struggling
to make ends meet the past few years.
Sincerely,
Tomas Sinclair
Hi Tomas,
Thanks for your email and really it's best not to get me started on
Larry Grossman. Five of my most hated people since I have been in Las
Vegas include Larry Grossman. I mean this guy makes the Scamdicappers
in the world look like angels. Of course all his HOMEBOYS of his show
are all the LEGITIMATE Handicappers and he speaks out frequently on
the Scammers out there and watch out for them. Yet he has guests on his
show routinely that are Scammers/Shamsters/IMMORAL SPORTS SERVICES
(I mean Mike Lee lets Jim Feist sell his Picks just to name one of many),
and I can tell you tons of people who called me and we suckered by the
"creative marketing" used to sell picks UNDER MIKE LEE'S name. Russ
Culver another frequent guest of Grossman's show, worked (ran) Vegas
Insider site for years. They are as IMMORAL a Sports Service as there
is today. Illegal? NO. But they use every trick in the book to sham readers
into buying picks from their cappers yet they are fine and legit for his
show and not SCAMMERS of any sort since they are HIS BUDDIES. I guess it's
all a two way street with guy's like Grossman. Just like Tammy (Tim) Trushel
used to never allow our buddy Scott Spreitzer into any of the Contests he had
because he said Scott worked for Feist and they were a "So called Scammer
Sports Service" because they sold HYPED games and high pressured people
on the phone"....but yet now he has his team of Cappers on his site HYPE
games every weekend without fail, and if they lose, they never say it the
NEXT day. They only tell the Public the positive wins and almost never the
Negative losses as not to let them ever think they are doing bad. If they
are winning they quickly mention: "Go look at Sports Monitor...so and so
is Number 1 or 2.." ...but if the Capper or Cappers are losing..they lay
low and keep quiet. Now that's HONEST and FULL OF INTEGRITY. I mean Tammy
rips Feist for IMMORAL business practice and yet the only way he survives
in business today is doing the exact same thing. Tammy thinks just because
they don't have a hardcore "boiler room phone operation" they are all honest
and legitimate. Well Tammy Trushel your not and you know it most of the world
knows it. Without your deceptive advertising you learned off guys like Feist
(you should thank him as he taught you very well as you are an expert at it now)
you would simply be out of business. Any Capper selling "Game of Year" picks every
single Saturday and Sunday and every Sport every day of the year is plain
and simple.....A CONMAN AND YOU TAMMY (TIM) TRUSHEL have risen to the top and
have passed the likes of Jim Feist and Wayne Root and are the most Creative
and SLICKEST sports Handicapper and Website selling picks in America today.
I have 8 guys watching your sites every move and you are digging your own deep
grave with your Deception on a 7 day a week basis. I got emails from over 500
PISSED OFF people and more come in each day who buy your picks and most don't
mind losing the pick...but geez post it up YOU LOST THE NEXT DAY...makes them
feel like they didn't get SUCKERED. Your a real lowlife...your kids and wife
must surely be proud of you.
Gary Greene
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
HI Mr. Green,
Your website is excellent for the football stats and information but
you could do without the slamming of the Scammers all the time.
Everyone knows the Guys who scam picks for a living. If they don't they deserve
to get ripped off for being stupid. Spend less time on the scammers and
post up more Free Picks.
Chuckie Setlerz
Hi Chuckie,
I have to say your balls are brass like the Scamdicappers
but I had to post your email just for having brass balls to write it. In
case you didn't realize it Chuckie ole boy the site is here to provide
Football info to Sports bettors and also to inform them of what goes on in the
Sports Betting Industry as a whole. I try to teach people ahead of time NOT
to get hustled and I know for a fact I have saved 1,000's of people
from getting conned because they read my articles and checked my site
and knew the scams before they happened to them. As for more Free picks....
I learned years ago....the more Free you give away..if you win
them all smart people realize it and figure why buy the cow when the
milks free? I gave away plenty of free winners for years on the radio
and in my magazine and I provide one a week here as I have done since
the website started. It's one of the picks I use on my weekend
service and since all my picks are the same it's a cherry picked game...just
one of the entire set for the weekend. Sometimes it might win on a
CFB Saturday and I might actually lose that day and non paying
clients would all be happy and think I was great....but it can also work the
other way too and the Free Pick can lose and it could be my only loser say
out of 7 on a CFB Saturday and all the non paying Clients will sit
at home and say.."Gary Greene sucks"! Thats just how this business goes.
Gary
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Gary,
I got ripped off by a service and wanted to know if I can get my
money refunded. They sold me a Season Package and then the next week told me
it would be extra money for the Big Game that weekend. It's only 4 weeks into the
Football Season and they tell me the same thing every Friday that it's more
money for the Handicappers Best Play that weekend.
Stan Klinesmith
Hi Stan,
Sadly I have no happy answers for you. This happens
everyday in this business and it will continue to forever. I have said on
Radio Show for over 10 years now to ask when purchasing "Do I get every single
play the Capper will have all season long....BIG and Small...for this Season
Package price?" If you don't ask this then you usually will get conned. This is a
hard lesson and what they did isn't illegal...it's simply IMMORAL. Sorry
that happened to you.
Gary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Gary,
I was curious as do you guarantee your picks?
Jose Garcia
Dear Jose,
I don't guarantee picks as I can't guarantee picks can win...that
is IMPOSSIBLE. The people who offer Guarantees are scamming you basically
as they make you pay for today's pick and if it loses you get tomorrow's pick
FREE. But think about this?....is it Free? You paid for it the day before..and
you really paid for it when pick you paid for lost....so you paid double
really.
That kind of selling is called "Creative Advertising" and they sell this way
to make a QUICK SALE today. The guarantee they offer you makes it seem
like the play can't lose and adds a little luster to the pick they are
selling.
Be careful of people who sell this way....they can't lose either way.
Heck you might pay for one day....lose..get the next day FREE and lose again. So
what guarantee really did you get. Really it's the same as two days for the price
of one.
Gary
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Gary,
Had to write in and say love the website and the info and really
love the articles. I can't wait each week to read the new ones as I usually
end up roarin' laughing. I had gotten conned by so many of these guys you
mention on your site and yet for years I truly believed that when they sold their
"Game of the Year" pick that it had to win. I mean if this was the best play
they had all year it just couldn't lose. Could it? Well as you know not only
could it, IT DID. MANY MANY TIMES.
I lost so much money and just finally got out of credit card debt I
incurred from paying these Scamdicappers and of course my bookie. I so wish
that I had seen your site 5 years ago. When a friend told me to check it out
last year and I read it entirely I almost cried. I knew in a way I had gotten
scammed but I guess I didn't want to believe it as then I would really feel
sicker then I already did. I am glad to
see that your helping other guys not get fooled by these HYPERS selling Game
of Year selections almost every day of the season. I am not a big bettor and I
am very appreciative of your free magazine online and your advice of no
parlays and just bet small and bet all the games the same. Since I spoke to you I
am no longer stressed with betting games and just enjoy watching them knowing I
can't lose my house. Great job so far with the Free picks and again thanks
for the great work you do exposing the bad people in the sportsworld. Your a
class act all the way.
Tony DeAngelo
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the kind words..they are greatly appreciated.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mr. Greene,
I want to commend you on your efforts against the cons and
especially the Stardust Casino and Bob Scucci. I have lived in Vegas nearly 40 years
and never would this crap have gone on back then. These guys simply think
everyone is a complete moron and since they keep bringing people into see these
weekly shows the old saying "a sucker is born every minute" must really be
true. I had listened to your shows for many years and you were always prepared and
straight forward and as much as you told your winners you always told your
losers which my friends and I always felt was very refreshing. It's a shame they
had to blackball you just because you exposed the truth about them. It's
amazing how the Corporate world has taken over and it's no longer a "people
business" anymore. If they can scam you out of your paycheck these days these
Casino's will do it in a New York second. I appreciate all your free Football
information and your weekly articles keeping us up to date on the Scammers. I know
the group of us who hang out together will help in your efforts to see Bob
Scucci get fired and hopefully your work to clean up this industry will some day
bear fruits.
Ronnie J.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Gary,
Thanks for all your hard work and guts taking a stand against cons and scammers
There are a million of 'em, and an arena full of other clowns just waiting their place.
I live in SoCal but cant seem to pick up your radio show.
That leaves me with the "prestigious" Sawdust Handicapping Contest.
*That brings up my first point....Is there a bigger "snatch" than John Kelley?
I mean this guy not only put his lips on Stardust management's ass, he
puts his head right up the pipe, full bore!!! To hear him list the "well-respected"
handicappers that "missed the final cut" of the Sawdust Invitational was comedy.
Tim Trueschel was one of them. Need I say more? Trueschel didn't pass Scucci's
rigorous handicapping "questionnaire." Comment: how could he NOT pass?
Isn't the idea to give the listeners all the push they need to get to the window
with a losing pick????????
Then, on Sunday night, he always applauds the Stardust "books" when they
take it to the players. Somebody needs to take this pussy out to the shed
and kick his sorry ass.
*The fact that Papa Joke Chevrolet has won the contest 2 straight years, shows
just how bad the field really is. PJ is a handicapping joke, formulating opinions
on folk lore....yet STILL wins.
Highlights of the week:
*Larry Ness already released his "Game Of The Year" selection on FOX radio
(something he will do about 12 more times before January 1).
*a web site called Scoresandodds.com released a 50,000 STAR play this week.
Does this mean by the end of the season we'll eventually see a
56 Trillion STAR play?
*Then there's Brent Musberger. Take Brent Musberger, please.
Friday night on the radio he went into a 30 minute diatribe on how great
Notre Dame is. He and Papa Joke have a common bond. That was HIS pick.
A blind person wouldn't have picked ND in that game.
*(more Brent Musberger) After Michigan scored to make it 37-0, he says
"NOW it's getting to the point of being embarrasing."

I know you've got a ton of work to do. Hope you enjoyed the moment.
a great fan,
